As I routinely do, I shared a print-copy of a New York Times article to a faculty member this morning. In this case, it was an article on a recent MIT study locating the the area in the brain that reponds to musical stimulus: a location, as it turns out, separate from the area that responds to speech.
As I was about to hand it over to the music teacher, she responded, "Oh, is this that study from MIT? I received notice of the journal article (Neuron) the other day and read the abstract, but I haven't settled in yet to digest the findings."
Is that cool or what? #colleaguepride
