I have always coveted Mr. W.'s maintenance cart here at school. He has all the tools he might ever need, and the skills to use them, right at hand for all to see.
It got me thinking about the tools and skills we each possess and how productive it would be for our self-esteem as well as for the needs of people we encounter, to see them arrayed around us at all times; each nicely burnished from use, well-oiled from pride, and at hand to help build a better world.
