Global update

I followed a recent @anoved Twitter link to this astonishing graphic. That's the world's volume of water in comparison to the world's volume.

The more I looked at it, the more I believe we are wrong-headed for always only leading our geography lessons with "water covers 75% of the earth's surface." The inference is there is plenty of it.

So I have updated my globe in the library with tenuous tether to encourage questions as well as a shift in understanding about what we thought we knew.
