The collections that we cultivate through Cooperative Collection Development (CCD) certainly add to the depth of our BOCES holdings, but we might do a better job communicating the particulars of those collections and of sharing (perhaps, at times, nearly en masse) those titles with partner libraries who want to "test the waters" for building and broadening their own collections.
So I am thinking of sending along this 'stack' photo and a bibliography of my Makerspace CCD titles to my library colleagues to let them see where I am at in my collection-building and to encourage them to not only point students towards them to borrow individual titles, but for them to consider "hosting a visiting exhibit" of the entire shelf that might initiate student interest, reinforce the breadth of ILL, or simply freshen up a display area.
Maybe a "shelf swap" of CCD collections between libraries would be the the way to go???
