I teamed this NYT article about "Why it it takes two years for a Syrian to enter the U.S.," with the "Inspection" processing time at Ellis Island in the 1900 and shared with our Global studies teacher. He will frame a lesson with it for tomorrow!
Also shared these two Economist articles with science teachers; learning from the natural world: peregrine falcons hunting tactics informing missile tracking, and pit viper "poison" perhaps aiding in coagulating wounds during surgeries.
I will also be sharing this graphic from Scientific American with our biology teacher; sleuthing pet and gender info in from ambient household bacteria.
Lots to know about.
