Tough time of year to broach cool ideas with harried end-of-semester teachers, so I will post this idea here. It comes from North East Bradford school as a project for 4th & 5th graders, but it seems applicable to all age groups (I can visualize it as perfect for Open House or concert nights, or any time we have guests.).
Students portray historic figures (or perhaps pairs of opposed figures for older students); posed as in a wax museum. By pressing a nearby "button" they become animated and bring a historic episode to life.
