The voices of students

I miss those voices.

They rarely make it out of the classroom (or grade book) into the world at large...or even the hallway bulletin boards.

This contest at the New York Times, to select and publish letters-to-editor from students, inspires me to try something like it at our school. Like the Times, I want to celebrate the opinions, writing prowess, and unique intellects of our students as a beacon to all of them to be players in this world.
