My day

Forwarded this New York Times video about WWII Japanese internment camps to our Social Studies teachers.

Rolled an abandoned lobby wheelchair up to the Health Office.

Responded to the Tech Plan Assessment document with usage figures of library databases as well as asking if administration is collecting any evidence, anecdotal or statistical, of how we are applying hardware and software offerings in the classroom.

Shared three articles from the recent Economist magazine with colleagues: inventions (MS Technology), world economics (Government & Ecomomics), and political apathy in youth (U.S. Government).

Shared our Olweus group list of "bucket list" recommendations for ACS with superintendent, principal, Olweus coordinator, co-facilitator, and substitute facilitator.

About a dozen loans/returns with avid 6th grade readers; my new cohort!

Distributed BOCES Media Fair ribbons and certificates to attendant teachers.

Did a 10-minute from scratch 3D demonstration for team of three students who came to take a photo of our 3D printer for a report!

Responded to a colleague inquiring about sharing motor vehicle-type magazines in her classroom that also included bikini-clad ads.

On overhearing a class discussion about the "baby boom," I shared a number of population pyramids with the teacher as a way to illustrate that trend AND as a way to infer political stability and social problems from that data.
