It occurs to me that

I don’t know what students have done with other teachers this year, but our ATCI students have:

- Scripted, filmed, performed in, edited, voiced-over, and packaged a 4-minute video
- Scripted, edited, advertised, coordinated, administered, graphed, and interpreted an online survey
- Designed and installed two static displays to explain their long-term project
- Designed and re-designed handbills
- Wrote announcements for WACS-TV
- Drafted and redrafted letters of invitation to a dozen community organizations
- Embraced the draft-process as a vehicle for prideful work
- Maintained organizational files of all draft documents and correspondence.
- Maintained an Excel spreadsheet of contact information
- Mail-merged contact info with organizational mailing.
- Systematically saved work to personal and shared folders for collaboratibve use.
- Set deadlines, to-do tasks, and project status on a timeline...for months
- Wrote and submitted a grant proposal.
- Wrote a request for and received an invitation to present their project to our local SERTOMA
- Scripted and phoned the local bank to make an appointment to learn about tax-exempt accounts
- Investigated tax-exempt qualifications at the IRS site
- Followed up all communications with thank you notes
- Wrote an article for the our weekly newspaper: The Tri-Town News
