A DCMO colleague, moving on to new challenges, left us with these words:
"Always remember why you entered the library profession instead of the world of
psychometrics and high-stakes testing/evaluation. Yes, anyone in K-12 is now
firmly within the grasp of these things but they are not your work. Your work
remains to be an exemplar for staff and to make meaningful connections with your
students. That is enough."
I think that sentence that I italicized is what I truly believe has been and is my role at ACS.
