Tool time @ the library

This is the new video camera at the library: a Flip Video camera. It is proving to be simple, sophisticated, utilitarian, and cheap ($149). No moving parts, it records an hour's worth of video on a memory card (640 x 480 resolution). The USB connection "flips" up (no cord). Connect it to one of our Dells and the Flip-resident software fires right up to play, edit, save, or export your clips. You can even hit the Snapshot button for crisp still images. (The NY Times review features an entertaining comparison video in the sidebar!)

Check out the 8 anti-tobacco ads on our school site and guess which one was filmed with a Flip and which 7 were filmed with an (old-school) "camcorder."
