Building boldly

I enjoyed reading about the many modifications libraries made to get noticed by SLJ and LEGO in their Build Something Bold cross-advertising showcase. I was pleased that, over the years, our library has anticipated and implemented several of the notable highlighted changes: moving (or removing) free-standing shelves to create a more open and versatile space, instituting a makerspace with 3D printing, green screen area, and hands-on littleBits, and being a video production center for school projects.

I’m glad to see some libraries have made better progress than we have integrating food courts ( I like the “Java Jungle). I also may have to steal the idea of a re-purposed phone booth as an audio recording studio!
