MapMaker Interactive
MapMaker Interactive from the National Geographic is an easy tool to use "live" on your whiteboard or to create still images you can incorporate in lessons. It's great for both Science and Social Studies visualizations.
For the image above, I scrolled east to Asia, zoomed in, then selected "area religions" from the Human Systems check box.
A download option allowed me to save my work as the image above. There are also drawing tools to enable users to interact with the maps. Good stuff.
