My Day

Designed and printed two new 4-sheet composite posters and assembled the four designs that I produced yesterday; delivering one to the elementary office for posting.

Replaced the toner cartridge in the LibLab printer.

Bought four copies of the 8th grade student newspaper to have on hand in the library. Offered to create and post a .pdf version on the website.

Scanned a 35mm slide for elementary art teacher; delivered it on her jump drive.

Updated my Library Commons page with image/explanation of my current bulletin board display.

Sited a second student-artist in the library so that she might paint on her thematic library chair as an artist-in-residence. (Created posters devoted to their efforts today).

Ordered two health films from the BOCES Media Library for our school nurse. I had researched titles and sent her an annotated selection list yesterday.

Created and framed recognition notice for latest Senior of the Month. Installed it at the Reception Desk.

Set up laptop/projector and screen for Financial Aid session in the Library tonight. Reviewed operation-how-to with hosts.

Fielded a research question from an elementary colleague hosting a weekend enrichment opportunity; locating Mexican pyramids on Google Earth. Created a 6-stop tour for her and emailed her the .kmz file.

Tried to see how fast I could create a narrated library activity film clip and post it to the library page on the ACS site. Under four minutes.

Filled an Inter Library Loan request.

Covered an AIS math class, 5 students. Remembered how to solve for "x"!

Convinced two students inquiring about the library chair painting project to get involved in "something." Handed them a basketball and Flip camera to get action basketball poses so that we might add a sports "icon" to our hall mural.

Up to the HS Computer Lab to access their color printer for today's poster designs.
