Recently, I enjoyed helping a former teacher update a carousel slide show that he uses to teach local history. My scanner has a nifty little channel in which to insert five 35 mm slides. It provides a back-light for the targeted scanning.
In the course of a morning I was able to scan the 75-slide carousel and burn them to a CD for his use and distribution. His ability to share this information made the the dramatic digital leap...all the way, even, to this post!
