My Day

Began my day before the first bell by visiting all the MS/HS classrooms to handout the desktop display cards that I made for Rachel's Challenge and the MS Recognition Committee. Enroute, called on a fellow teacher to help me troubleshoot a document camera set-up for a colleague.

Downloaded and burned a DVD of film clips shot by the 6th grade team for a film they plan to make. Also hooked up the SD card reader to download and burn some film clips for an elementary teacher. Delivered those disc to their classrooms.

Designed a ballot and certificate for this year's Senior of the Month series. Forwarded the ballot to the Guidance Office for distribution.

Took down student work from the Lobby display case.

Met with the Elementary Librarian for an hour to review our opening weeks, discuss ideas for our web pages, and brainstorm on ways to highlight our ebook collection.

Took photographs of the 2nd grade "cave art" display in the elementary wing; wonderful sepia, ochre, and red drawings on a long roll of black paper. Made it my screensaver

Added Worldbook Online to the library web page.

Hung a 4' x 8' canvas on my bulletin board so that students might trace their hand-prints for Rachel's Challenge.

Designed a template of bookmarks for Open House advertising our new school web site address.

Set out three shelves of new-arrival books. Helped a student use her jump-drive.
