Environmental visualization

The BP disaster in the Gulf of Mexico is leaking 210,000 gallons of crude oil each day.

If I poured that into our school gymnasium, it would fill it to a level of three feet; that environmentally hazardous material being dispersed within the 2.4 million cubic kilometers of the Gulf of Mexico.

If I filled our gymnasium with the 1,000,000 gallons of residual "water" from each Southern Tier natural gas "fracking" well, it would fill it to a level of fifteen feet; that environmentally hazardous material to have been dispersed below my house, spring and family within an area of a single cubic mile.
