It's not just because this title quote is from a library-related article (the growing field of digital archivists) that I pasted it in, rather it is because I believe we should all heed the observation by honing our peripheral vision when it comes to professions, careers, callings, and opportunities which we may or may not believe we are "trained" to pursue.
Let's give happenstance and serendipity their due.
