My Wednesday

Delivered a projector and cable to the French teacher before classes began. Having noticed postings outside the MS Science room about raptors, I shared a mural idea with the teacher that I had seen at a Nature Center this summer.

Sent an email to an elementary teacher letting her know that I had seen that high school biology students were posting cell component projects at the same time as her fifth graders were studying the same material and that it might provide a good opportunity for students to teach students.

Walked some new Shakespeare SparkNotes books down to show the English 11 teacher. Emailed the Transportation Director to see how his Google Earth bus routes were coming; having pitched the idea to him last week. Bookmarked an FFA film from the Tully HS upon the request of our Ag/Tech teacher for later posting to our school site.

Created a bibliography of novels in our collection by "world" authors for English 10 assignment. Watched and bookmarked a PBS video clip about a hands-on, project-oriented Tech school. Presented recognition books to two students who showed up with award coupons for our program. Took their picture for the web page.

Met with our school Asset Team Coordinator to brainstorm graphics and media for their character education program in grades 3-5. Worked up and forwarded beginning artwork for bookmarks, trading cards, pennants and buttons.

Made a lobby poster promoting reading from a photo I took yesterday of a student exhibiting poor reading posture, but great reading intensity! Unable to locate any ILLs for a faculty member needing assistance with Adobe Premier, located titles at the "local" Barnes & Noble that we can purchase right away.

Managed a work-around with my Elementary Library colleague to provide Accelerated Reader testing access to my library tomorrow while Tech Support gets the official path up and running.

Circulated 24 titles.
