The Sunday New York Times

The NY Times provided a wealth of articles and visuals for me to share with my colleagues. I was the courier of cool stuff this morning!

First, I posted this graph of all-time touchdown passes by NFL quarterbacks. As the Modified Football team came in to listen to morning announcements, I corralled them to show them the graph; pointing out the steepness of the line as an indicator of whether the latest QBs are on track for greatness.

Then I shared this interesting  article with a colleague on how a mother observed that the Siri speaking-function on an iPad helps her autistic son satisfy his stream of questions and also responds to his challenge of picking up on social clues.

Next I brought up a section of the T Magazine to our art teacher that had a pictorial of artists' "ads for themselves." Seemed like the seed of an idea for student projects.

I shared another T Magazine piece with our HS English teacher in which fifteen authors wrote about a paragraph each to create one story.
And lastly, from the travel section, this accounting of twelve products (silks, spices, coffees) and their European cities I shared with our Global Studies teacher as I thought it reinforced many of those original Silk Road enterprises.
