This image is from an exhibit of Nicholas Nixon photographs featured in the Sunday NY Times Magazine. It is a very moving series of family portraits taken annually of four sisters over forty years. I'm not quite sure why it belongs in this library blog other than as a testament to reading widely and as a gift for remaining open to those moments when images speak to me like poems.
All forty images are at the Times link. It is worthwhile to look at the full size of many of them.
