My Day

The folks from DCMO SLS came by at 8:30 to pick up the 3D printer so that it might be loaned to the next school library. Got it all packed up to after a quick last-minute print (see previous post). Shared recent prints, Thingiverse items, end-cap postings, and insights with them.

Also brain-stormed with them how we might make CCD collections more accessible as well as how I might add ACS-specific databases to the 24/7 page that they administer for us.

Delivered hard-copy articles and email links to ELA teacher who requested them of me for upcoming Close Reading lessons. Neat.

Responded to our elementary library by sharing eBook instructions and handbills that I created.

Compiled and sent Salem database info to DCMO SLS in follow-up to our discussion this morning.

Logged new reference arrivals about energy and agriculture.

Discussed our Common Read poetry book with a faculty reader.

Thanked student guitarists who played in the library periods A and E.

Made some quick photo mock-ups of a mural idea to pitch to the class of 2016.

Posted NPR article on recent recipients of the Medal of Honor.
