Our friends from the DCMO SLS delivered our MakerBot Replicator 2X on Friday. They did all the hard part of preparing the hardware and firmware. Now we have three months to to design, learn and build objects.
We have been printing some Thingiverse designs to demonstrate possibilities and to encourage participation.
Printed these CD wheel axles today.

And we at DCMO BOCES must thank the South Central Regional Library Council (SCRLC)for awarding us this RBDB grant to experiment with 3-D printing in the school library setting. We love the fact that they see the value of providing our students access to this important new technology!
