Coming to a movie near you?

We are sizing up spots for a possible Summer cinema series at ACS. So I plunked Leo down over a number of venue photos to assess ease of hanging a "screen," slopes for viewing, and natural sound buffers.

So when I got home, I decided to try out a screen idea. I hung a large silver tarp off the back of our shed; about 16 feet wide. We rigged up the school projector and some speakers, then waited until about 9:00 p.m.

We watched the first Harry Potter movie. The screen was a bit reflective and the early "dark" scenes were a challenge to decipher, but by the time the stars came out and the plot thickened it was an enchanting and memorable way to watch a big-screen film!
