eBird

I've been using this BirdLog app for the past two weeks and I think it would make a nifty science activity for students.
Users are able to identify and name their location(s), select their sightings from a scrollable list, then upload sightings to eBird. Individual sighting become part of the huge database maintained at eBird.
For instance, searching by country/state/county, my recent sightings for wild turkeys appear in map views, graphs, and migration time-lapse summaries. Cool!
