My Day

Fetched the mobile presentation cart from the Auditorium before Opening Bell. Chased down the accompanying laptop, too (loaned that laptop Period B to a teacher working with a student)

The "Crowd-sourcing History" video that I created appeared on this morning's WACS-TV broadcast.

Cut a 4-page graphic from the NYTimes about Milestones in Medical Technology for our MS Tech teacher. Delivered it.

Uploaded the latest "tagged" Historical Minute to the Internet Archive. Also, stopped by to walk-through this tagging project with one of our Special Ed teachers.

Scanned selected reference book pages to the printer to assist 8th grade class research project. Also helped them visualize ideas for political cartoons (an offensive tight end named "Big Round Top" keeping the "enemy" from getting behing the line of scrimmage, yes?).

Dropped a note to the NY Times suggesting they try to consider not printing their information-rich graphics front-to-back in print editions so that they are easier to post (Worth a shot.).

Posted a quick reflection on the importance of visual design in communicating content.

Rec'd a response from our MS Social Studies teacher to an audio I had recorded about John Brown's raid on Harper's Ferry; noting she intended to use in her classes.

Posted end-cap display of the latest in technology: personal encryption services.

Prepared sample documents and hard-copy tagging-survey to present to 4th grade teachers: local history / core curriculum.

Worked through some confusion about circumference / diameter / radius with students doing preliminary drawings for their "sports" chair painting project.
