Customizing for Common Core


An article in the Chronicle surveyed some textbook-customization outfits.  AcademicPub builds print or ebooks from its base of two million pieces of content from 75 publishers; arranging for royalty fees as the book is compiles. They can also include free content from the Web.

As we shift to Common Core standards with their expectation of more literary nonfiction (supplemented with primary source documents), creating school- or regional-specific textbooks might be a cost-effective as well as a teaching-effective route to explore.
