Poem

When one is bigger than life,
endowed with great physical size
or expansive spirit, or both,
they assume a burden
to be more, to bear more.
And when they do
and they manage it with equanimity,
we are humbled and inspired
and changed by that touch
which takes root in us
and does not pass away.
