My Day

During homeroom, I took a laptop into the gymnasium to see if it connected to the wi-fi from there. Yes. Some opportunities present themselves.

Hosted 6th grade science classes first period and midday. Put it to them: Proportionally, which is thinner: the earth's crust or the skin on an apple? Going to be a great visualization, regardless (Gathered my supporting evidence for tomorrow!).

Set up a cart with a laptop and projector. Delivered it to the auditorium for an assembly tomorrow.

Got a response from our Winter Track coach. Posted his attached photo to the recognition page of our website.

Made a composite graphic (in Keynote) from Art Show photos that I requested from our art teacher. Posted it to the home page. Told the kids.

Converted honor roll attachment to PDF, posted the file to the document bin on my library site, linked it to a congratulations on the home page.

Shared a nifty book review site that showcases online production tools with an ELA colleague and tech colleague.

Dropped of a Chronicle article about evolving GED programs to our Adult Ed Office.

Our business manager visited to help me configure our school's Amazon account so that the library might follow through with a plan to invite supporters to "gift us" selected ebooks for our Kindles through a "Wish List" posting.

Reserved the library April 28-29 for the annual student art show.

Wrote to the music department to suggest having a keyboard and possibly some MIDI software in the library for our students to use for practice, creativity, and performance.

Fielded some Kindle questions for a colleague considering a purchase.

Asked two students if they might be interested in being on my BookFair team for April.
