I'm creating a bulletin board on a WWII theme (see my last post). The centerpiece of it is this collage that I'm making based on a photograph of Afton's 1939 basketball team, as several of the players went on to enlist in the war effort. That leap from one innocent uniform into one worldly uniform still takes my breath away.
I have added snippets of headlines, GI observations, and as well as images from our local Historical Society calendars that state that over 300 citizens from our community were part of the war effort.
I'll get an another image up once I complete the display.
