From Books, New President Found Voice
Michiko Kakutani, writing in the New York Times, reviews the influence of books and reading on the ideas and language of Barack Obama. His "rare ability to communicate" and his "ruminating upon writers' ideas and picking and choosing those that flesh out his vision of the world" underscore the value and power of the written word to him, and again to us.
