My Thursday

I began my day by emailing my colleagues the results of our "Captioning a Classic" writing contest (students responded with poems, short stories, and essays to images that we posted in the hallways from Picturing America). Throughout the day I caught up with students to present their certificates and to take their photos for our school newsletter and morning television broadcast.

Responded to call from our sixth grade teacher to photograph their Egyptian studies projects. I uploaded them to a Google slide show and posted it on our school site. Even urged my colleagues with an email to follow-up with the teacher in order to "build on her best practice."

Down to the auditorium to begin documenting set-building progress for our Broadway class.

Posted a building renovation letter on our home page for the Superintendent.

Took a review to the Chorus instructor about how Tony Bennett uses his hands to convey the meaning of lyrics.

Responded to a request from our English 11 teacher by showing him how his students might save their work as Rich Text documents at home and at school so that they might adapt to differing software versions.

Requested permission from Tech Support to download Jing so that I can experiment with screen-capture videos.

Convinced two freshmen SketchUp users to embark on a project to render our school footbridge, by way of creating a resume-worthy piece for their portfolio. Plus, my after-school SketchUp regular finished and posted his helicopter!

cool day, glad people actually did the caption thing!
and by the way, the last paragraph, you used the wrong "to." it should be 'convinced two freshman SketchUp users' I assume and not 'to freshman.'
but oh well who cares!
and what is the broadway class putting on? and whos making the sets? thats cool. i wish i was there to make sets let alone perform!
