A post-contest blossoming

Our 3D design contest is over. The awards have been handed out.

Yesterday, the principal stopped by to see the winning entry displays. Turns out he had some ideas of his own. So we connected him up to one of the student participants.

Today, from their conversation and a sketch, the student produced this SketchUp rendering and we printed this first prototype.

What we have here is real growth towards a client / designer model. I look forward to see this dialogue work through their mutual critiques, refinements and subsequent updates.
